Thursday 15th June

Another cloudy morning, quite mild and no wind. Today we went to the south of the marsh and were pleased to see that the swan family were still together and in one piece. (see photo).
I was also pleased to see a Great Crested Grebe family on the 'Long Lake', one of the adults was carrying the 'chicks' on its back, I took a photo but I was a long way off and it would have been wrong to try and approach closer.
Took some photos of the Flora which is slightly different from the north marsh due to the different type of soil. I think the soil is more fertile in the south.
