Photographs taken of the fauna and flora found on Coatham Marsh, Redcar. [bryan0755@gmail.com)
Friday 7th July
Warm morning, a little overcast and breezy. Went out about 8:30am today, only one or two people about, dog walkers and people taking shortcuts to work. Not a lot of activity in the way of birds, but that is quite normal at this time of year. We met a toad on the boardwalk on east marsh, but holly's nose got in first and he didn't hang around. In fact holly had a good day, met a rabbit, played a quick game of 'Chase Me'. Holly got too close, so she gave up. Ragwort is in full bloom, danger to grazing animals, very toxic. Swan family on the east marsh are all intact and quite large. With eight cygnets they are going to be some sight! Enjoy today's offerings.
